Despite the omnipresent cloud of suspicion that follows Dollar Bill Self, plug and play swingman Tyon Grant -Foster remains committed to KU. Here is video of him shredding fairly respectable juco competition:
Self's major accomplishment is signing a five star / top ten HS player while facing multiple level one NCAA allegations / violations. AP report suggested that it was virtually unheard of at least in one and done era since dudes don't want to risk that one shot at postseason exposure, via March Madness. Bryce Thompson is #9 or #11 in high school, depending on who you believe. Evidently, Self coached his father many years ago at Tulsa. Bryce, the son is 6-4 and can play at point or off the ball. He sounds very comparable to Tyshawn Taylor who I've missed a lot these past few years when guards were either shockingly mediocre or very small and thus defensive liabilities-- Quentin Grimes, KJ Lawson, and Charlie Moore come to mind from last season.
