Swung and Done

Between the fight and now, I still can't come up with a single sports fight where anyone was injured. Even when Myles Garrett tried to kill that guy with his helmet, no one got hurt. So people who are calling for heads really need to step back and accept that fighting is now, and has for some time, been part of the spectacle of sports. It stands to reason that a generation who grew up on WWE and GTA are gonna want some fake fighting to go with their rivalries.
DeSouza is going pro, so the suspension is immaterial, but "indefinite" is way out of line for what began as a normal basketball chest bump-off. He only takes up arms when a spectator joins the fray and at that point all bets are off. I think he is well within his rights to destroy that K-State motherfucker in the black shirt. Ron Artest went after fans.  This fan was the attacker in this case.
In the end, no one even lands a respectable punch and it is now the "funnest game ever" for either team all season. The Stephen A. Smith's of the world who were "terrified" are being overly dramatic. Terrifying is when that douchbag fan from Oklahoma State tried to strangle T.J. Ford who's at-the-time undiagnosed spinal stenosis could have resulted in Ford's death.
